Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Mount NC (February 2011)

Faith-based organizations are doing their part to help their community eat better and live well. Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount NC is making great strides towards creating a healthier congregation. The Wellness Committee hosted a “Pretty in Pink” breakfast and invited me to share simple ways their members can eat better. Church members prepared a variety of healthful and delicious breakfast foods for us to enjoy that can replace some of the traditional southern foods many of them are accustomed to eating.
